If you're only halfway through the first block and you're really not happy then I say go ahead and frog. There's absolutely no point in going on if you aren't happy. On the other hand, you could stitch a bit in two strands and see if there's a visible difference, and frog if there is or keep going if there isn't.But keeping on with one thread if you aren't happy? No, since this is supposed to be making you happy to work on it XD
If you're not happy with it, I'd start over completely. I think at the end, you might not be completely happy if only some is with 2 strands. 36 count is one of those that sometimes you need 1 strand and other times 2 stands depending on the linen.
I would start all over - I wouldn't even rip out the stitches I had already done, as that's bound to make a mess of 36 count cloth. I don't know that I could get that far and then redo the work, so I'd have to love the pattern VERY VERY MUCH!
I'd start again on a new piece of linen. You want to enjoy stitching it. :)
If you're not happy at this point, I would definitely start over. But, I like Blu's suggestion about stitching a bit of it with two threads and seeing if you actually like it that much better... Good luck :)
I would start over too, much as you probably don't want to hear that. :(
I agree... I don't think you'd be happy if you kept going and weren't sure. And if you changed to two threads now it would probably bug you that the one half of the first block is different... I know it would drive me batty! Even if no one else but me could tell! But Blu's suggestion is probably spot on ~ try a little bit with two strands first, just to be sure!
