Isn't it incredible? Awe inspiring actully.
Sunday morning we headed downtown with the kids. The only thing I wanted to do was see the Cauldron. It's amazingly huge and beautiful. Whoever crafted it made it appear to be made out of shimmering ice. I loved it.
We explored the Waterfront, saw the Olympic rings out in the harbour, people watched, were dumbfounded by the line-up of people outside The Bay waiting (first to get IN!!!) to buy Official Olympic merchandise and had beer and smokies (not the kids! LOL) while basking outdoors in the sunshine. It was a fabulous time.
We then headed over to Vancouver Olympic Centre to watch Men's Curling where Canadian Martin and his teammates beat the Swiss 6 - 4 with his last shot right in the button. It was an amazing end to a great day!
It was my first time watching curling and I was surprised how much I liked it. The kids really liked it too.
Have a great day!

Cool. Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures! I'm watching the curling just now its very tense as Scotland need to win this play-off to go through.
Canada has done such a great job! I've loved watching!
So wonderful that you were able to experience the Olympics! Memories for a lifetime!
I found that when the curling was on I could not stitch and I was trying to figure out why...Something about paint drying before I actually sat and watched what the heck they were suppose to be doing and the strategies of the game. The fact that the commentator was explaining the rules was a big help. Curling is a big sport in Canada. Who knew? Here all this time I thought it was Stitching. Works for me. Glad you were able to get to the games, I can only imagine the hype but the pride was no problem.
Be always in stitches.
