The Start of Something Big

Just a reminder that if you haven't already entered my "Back To Blogging" Giveaway to go here and leave a comment to enter!

I made this today in preparation of the something big I'm going to start today:

My very first Qsnap cover!  It was really easy.  I used this tutorial here.

So what is this something big???

It's Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow (CaHRH) by Carriage House Samplings.  Waaaaaay back in January I won this chart and all the threads in a giveaway from the lovely Carol of Stitching Dreams.  I just searched my email inbox and saw that I ordered the custom dyed Lakeside Linens 36 ct. fabric from my Canadian LNS January 31 and I just received it in August!  The fabric is huge.  *gulp*  It's scary to contemplate actually as I usually just stitch smalls.   I'm looking forward to this project though.  It's gorgeous and everytime I read the words to the carol stitched on it I hear Frank Sinatra singing...

Hopefully I'll have some progress to show you soon!

That is such a lovely design! I'm sure it will be a joy to stitch, even being that big!

Oh my goodness, that is certainly one heck of a project! I've seen it finished several times and I've got to say it's definitely worth it. Good luck, keep us posted with your progress.

You'll have the project finished by Halloween, yes? *ducks and runs* :D

Judging by those luscious floss colours it's going to be a beauty!

Good luck with your BIG project. I have admired everyone's Hollows, but would never allow myself to be tempted. They are beautiful though. Can't wait to see your progress.
