...Blissful years. Today my DH and I are celebrating our 15th Anniversary. We're celebrating with dinner out tonight at a mystery location, hubby is surprising me. Nice restaurants and fancy food are favourites of mine so I'm excited to see what he has come up with. Not to mention, no cooking!
In a week and a half we're spending the weekend together in Seattle. On that note, does anyone know of a LNS in the Seattle area? Mine recently closed so now the closest one is a Province away!

Craftroom Sneak Peak
After what seems like forever, my craftroom, office, studio or girl-cave (I call it one or the other depending on the the day, ha ha) is THIS close to being finished! I'm so excited. It's turned out better than I ever thought. Just walking in the room makes me feel so calm and relaxed. If only I could get me stitchy mojo back...

My Olympic Experience - Pt. 2
These pictures speak for themselves:
Isn't it incredible? Awe inspiring actully.
Sunday morning we headed downtown with the kids. The only thing I wanted to do was see the Cauldron. It's amazingly huge and beautiful. Whoever crafted it made it appear to be made out of shimmering ice. I loved it.
We explored the Waterfront, saw the Olympic rings out in the harbour, people watched, were dumbfounded by the line-up of people outside The Bay waiting (first to get IN!!!) to buy Official Olympic merchandise and had beer and smokies (not the kids! LOL) while basking outdoors in the sunshine. It was a fabulous time.
We then headed over to Vancouver Olympic Centre to watch Men's Curling where Canadian Martin and his teammates beat the Swiss 6 - 4 with his last shot right in the button. It was an amazing end to a great day!
It was my first time watching curling and I was surprised how much I liked it. The kids really liked it too.
Have a great day!

My Olympic Experience - Pt. 1
My hubby was lucky enough to get tickets to Molson Candadian Hockey House given to him for last night. What a great time it was! There were so many exciting things that happened while we were there. It was Wayne Gretzky day and he actually showed up. I even had a close encounter with him (and his "entourage") in the hallway by the bathroom. He's taller than I figured, even without skates on!
My hubby is tall so he was holding the camera up taking pictures. My SIL emailed this morning asking if we were there because she saw hubby on the news taking pictures all the way in Ontario.
Kevin Lowe and Grant Fuhr were there too. It was cool for me because I'm an Edmontonian born and bred and those 3 won a bunch of Stanley Cups together in the 80's for the Edmonton Oilers.
Here is my DH with some nice RCMP officers. They were very gracious, posing for pictures with everyone.
While we were there The Canadian Tenors performed. Not only are they heavenly to listen to, they are super handsome too! ;)
Jon Montgomery won Gold in the Skeleton while we were there too. That was so exciting!!!
Here is a photo of DH and an OLYMPIC TORCH that was actually used in the torch relay:
Tomorrow we're taking the kids to watch Martin and fellow Canadian curlers play. I hope to get a picture of the Cauldron to post! I didn't think I'd be as into the Games as I am, nor did I think I'd get to experience any of them so it's pretty exciting!
GO CANADA GO!!!

More Pouches & Some Stitching
Here's a few pics of what I've been working on:
Fa La La Ornament of the Month. A few beads and my initials and the date and this will be ready to be finish finished! Not sure how I'm going to make these into ornaments yet. Time will tell.
Progress on LHN The Travelling Stitcher. I'm doing this with The Travelling Stitcher SAL. As you can see I don't have a lot done. I'm using 8x11 Q-Snaps and I find it's slowing me down moving my hand from the front to the back of the fabric. Oh well, I'm still enjoying it though!
Just Nan 12 Days of Christmas Whimzi
A Partridge in a Pear Tree for my Festive Ornament SAL
And yet more pencil pouches that my darling daughter so generously gave to her friends for a trip to Mexico. Lovely of her to donate my time! :D
Happy Stitching!

Polka-Dotted Giraffe Pouch
My DD loved her cherry pouch so much she asked me to make her another so I whipped up this baby last night.
You might be asking yourself "Why the giraffe print???" DD LOVES giraffes for some reason. Go figure. We found the giraffe button at Fabricland on Saturday and the fabric at the quilt shop. DS enjoyed himself there after all (see post below). They have this huge chest of buttons there so the kids were having fun digging around and seeing what they could find.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments! It's so lovely to receive them.
